Privacy Policy
Boston Institute of Finance recognizes the importance of protecting the
information we collect from end users in the operation of our online service
and websites. We ensure that any identifiable personal information we collect
from users of our products or services is adequate, relevant and not excessive
for purposes of operating our website or any of our online services; and will
be kept accurate and up-to-date based on information provided. Except for
product partners as described below, and where necessary in connection with
services provided by appropriate intermediaries, who are required to comply
with the confidentiality provisions of this policy, we will not disclose any
personal information identifying users to any third party, unless required by
law or otherwise needed in connection with legal proceedings, or unless we have
received the user's consent.
Boston Institute of Finance web site servers use Secure Socket Layer (SSL)
software to ensure protection of user data and the security of users'
transactions. SSL encrypts personally identifiable information users send over
the Internet, including credit card numbers, name and address data. Our web
site servers use a feature of Internet web browsers called a "cookie" to assign
a unique identifier to a user's computer during a visit, and to recognize the
user on a return visit. Cookies are files that the web browser places on the
user's computer hard drive. We create and use these cookie files and data to
track users' clicks as they navigate our websites.
If use of an electronic product, feature or service offered by Boston Institute
of Finance on our website or other online service requires a user to provide a
name and password or other personally identifiable information, the user has
the option to opt in or out of providing such information and using the
product, feature or service. Any private communications or information supplied
to us by a user may be used by us for internal business and research purposes
and to help enhance and develop our websites and products.
Boston Institute of Finance shares data with third parties, for course offerings
that are developed and distributed on a joint basis with them. In each case, we
share information about who has enrolled in a course, and the course
transcripts. By enrolling in one of these courses, users consent with this
sharing of information, which for each third party is limited to the jointly
developed and distributed course. The table lists these third parties and the

Boston Institute of Finance may disclose navigational and transactional
information to third parties, in the form of anonymous, aggregate usage
statistics and demographics but only in forms that do not reveal a user's
identity or confidential information, except as required by law, as needed in
connection with legal proceedings, or unless we have received the user's
consent.
