Successful completion of the program fulfills the educational requirements towards the RMASM designation, as determined by the Retirement Income Industry Association (RIIA). Visit the RIIA website for more information.

Students entering the program must be familiar with financial concepts such as present value, future value, compound interest, and valuation of assets. In addition, knowledge of Principles of Markowitz Optimization, Efficient Frontier, Modern Portfolio Theory. Familiarity with major types of investment and retirement accounts and products, and the regulations or laws that govern them is required.
